One of the most common questions I get (besides the other ones that I get too) is where is my PST file located?
Well, Microsoft has moved the location of the PST file based on the version of Outlook you’re running and the OS you are running.
The easiest way to find out where your PST file is located is to open Outlook and go to the tree view so you see all your folders.
Right-click on the Personal Folders parent item (mine is somehow called Personal Folders1) and select Properties.
when the Properties dialog opens, click on the Advanced button
and the second field is your location of the PST file.
Just copy this field and that’s your PST file location. If you have more than one PST file loaded in Outlook, you’ll have to do the same thing for each PST file, even if its just an archive. Many times, users don’t know where their emails are being Archived to, so this is a easy way to find out your PST Archive location.
